Amador was born in Barquisimeto, the third largest City in Venezuela, on 11/3/62 at 15:02 hours

His parents were both school teachers and he is the oldest of four children, three boys and a sister, who was the youngest one and who sadly left this world prematurely, when she was only 46 years old.

He moved to London during September 1991, where he joined the Lloyd's of London International insurance broking community. Amador has more than 32 years' experience in the international reinsurance business, of which more than 30 years spent in the London (Lloyd's) market. He started his reinsurance career in his native Venezuela during February 1984 as a reinsurance accounts technician and he progressed towards the position of Treaty underwriter for Latin American and Caribbean business.

Amador has worked in London mainly in developing, producing, placing and servicing facultative and treaty reinsurance programmes from Latin America, Caribbean & the Iberian Peninsula and he has established long-lasting business relationships with his clients and underwriters.

During May 2011 Amador founded his own insurance and reinsurance / consulting and advisory firm known as: "DART Associates Limited", in association with a retired London market underwriter, in order to continue to work with his clients and well known business associates. DART traded until the end of December 2015 when it changed its corporate branding name to: "ART Insurance Services Limited".

ART Insurance Services Limited ceased all business consulting operations on Friday 18th October 2019. An official submission of closing/striking off the company was sent to Companies House in the UK.

From 1968 to 1973 Amador attended "Escuela Experimental Venezuela", a reputable public elementary/primary school in Caracas, which was the start of his journey in life. After that he attended High School, "Liceo Urbaneja Achelpohl" - LUA - also located in Caracas, where he studied to obtain his High School Diploma in Science and Humanities from 1973 to 1978.

He also learned at LUA solid valuable life experiences and an understanding of what was going to be part of his life and thus become a huge influence and help in his future of what was laying ahead for him.

From 1980 to 1983 Amador studied at College of DuPage - Oak Park, Illinois USA, Business Administration - Management / Accounting - subjects in order to obtain an Associate Degree Diploma after completing 10 months of intensive English lessons as a second language during 1979 in Chicago.

Amador's main hobbies and interests include; eating good food, drinking fine wine and real ale and of course he enjoys a good scotch whisky too.

He also loves and enjoys to play golf and being at home in the company of his wife and his cats. He follows Newcastle United FC - England Premier league and is interested to follow world financial news. He is also a freemason and a member of UGLE and a strong supporter of Charities through his Masonic Lodges.

Amador is a member of regular Lodges recognized by United Grand Lodge of England, (UGLE), where he participates and works in Masonic duties as a Freemason in Metropolitan (London) Grand Lodge.

In his professional life, Amador has always been willing to assume responsibilities and lead solid business projects. He can make decisions and teach, learn, and share knowledge with others. He has good negotiation skills and an ability to build and maintain business relationships.

Amador has a thorough knowledge of the Lloyd's of London and international insurance and reinsurance market/industry and has high-level contacts with Senior Underwriters and high-ranking executives in the London, Europe and Latin American markets.

Amador established MNK Re - Broker at Lloyd's - in Valencia Spain, where he spent 10 months from June 2017 to April 2018 as Business Consultant. His main duties were to introduce and market their insurance products to the local, European, and LATAM markets. He was asked to come back to the London to continue to work for MNK Re - London office.

Amador was back in London in April 2018 where he continued to work and service his clients' businesses. Particularly effort was made to find capacity for a Lloyd's Coverholder' underwriting business plan from Miami-based underwriters, within the Lloyd's and International markets.

Amador married Ms. Elena Khomutova-Miller on March 6th, 2019. Our wedding ceremony took place at Saxon Hall - Southend on Sea, Essex, which was indeed a VERY SPECIAL NIGHT for us and our 90 + guests.

Amador and Elena now live in the historic and vibrant City of Chelmsford - 28 miles east of London, in Essex County.

On October 21st, 2019 Amador joined SSL Endeavour Limited - Broker at Lloyd's - and took the position as Head of Wholesale Broking - LATAM after he introduced his client, a Lloyd's Coverholder's underwriting team from Miami.

SSL Endeavour (now trading as Oneglobal Broking) terminated Amador's contract on June 30th 2020.

Amador's current situation

Amador is now working independently through his own company which he established last April 2020 for his wife. EKM Gallery Limited, whose main trade involves Art work retailing. However, a trading style as "EKM Risk Consulting" has also been adopted for Amador's business purposes as Reinsurance Consultant and Business Developer, which he does for Lloyd's of London Brokers so he can continue to service his long-standing clients.

EKM Risk Consulting works closely all their business and is a consultant to MNK Re and Chesterfield Group - Brokers at Lloyd's.
